Happy World Password Day.
Having already made a thread about VPNs, I figured I should also inquire about what password managers people are using.
I know about Dashlane, but it was from a YouTube sponsorship, so maybe I should stay away from that.
Do you think that, with the proper encryption, it would be safe to store passwords on my browser? Or do you know any other password managers that would be better options?

I'm a big big fan of Bitwarden!! <3 It's free and open source, and makes money by offering a paid "premium" plan that's pretty much there to support their work. I am more than happy to pay them 10 bucks a year for an impeccable service I use daily on multiple devices, and I love how they are able to offer their basic services for free to everybody. I use the browser extension on firefox and the app on android and ios. Being able to have hundreds of different passwords stored is such a blessing. I wouldn't trust a browser to store my passwords - more than else, because I'm not too confident it would backup them reliably if something were to happen on my device + I need those password for several devices, apps, etc. I would honestly suggest you give it a go - if nothing else, because it's free and so you can get a feel for if you like the concept of a password manager

I use KeePass. That way I don't have to rely on any servers, just use a client, and the database file (and optionally a .key file for that extra layer of security), and off I go! Also have fun getting the icons for each entry.

I'm another fan of Bitwarden. I use the free version. I came to the password manager game late. For the longest time I would just store all my passwords in a Word file, but it got to be kind of a lot. Also, probably not very safe! I also use Firefox and have the Bitwarden extension for the browser and the app for my phone.

I think that I'm going to get Mullvad for my VPN and Bitwarden for my password manager. Mullvad seems the most serious about privacy, and Bitwarden seems to be a popular choice among users of this forum.

UPDATE: I've been using Bitwarden. The site, app, and extension are all working well for me.
