I've been interested in Mozilla Hubs for a while now. While I can't bring myself to embrace Facebook's Metaverse or anything like that, Hubs has a different feel to it that I could get behind. I think it works best if viewed as a compliment to forums like this as opposed to a replacement.
Did anyone else check out the Yesterweb Cafe? Does anyone know of any cool spaces contained in Hubs?

I roamed around the YW one a little bit in the browser, but nobody else was there at the time. Saw a bunch of wall memes hehe.
What is the intended way of interfacing with Hubs? I imagine if it's a headset thing foremost that's a huge barrier of entry.
In a world where VR access is cheap and abundant, and curating your own space is easy enough, i imagine it must be sooo rewarding. Like, creating a weird translucent bath-house rain garden thingy floating over the clouds of jupiter... and then your friends can come hang out? How cool is that...

I'm sure the headsets are great, and maybe someday I'll have one, but my keyboard and mouse work fine for now. Just roaming the space and listening to Vaporwave. It's a great way to vibe.
I've been looking at a lot of dreamcore images, and being alone in some of the spaces evokes a very similar feeling to me.
My guess is that the cafe will be left dormant even after the Yesterwebs forums close, but I don't know. Maybe some users will convene there on the day the forums go read-only and/or the day it shuts down for good. That'd be cool.
