This is a cool one where he gets inside an IBM PC from the 2000's when the Pentium 4 was used.

I recently got a Pentium 4 PC with Windows 98 Third Edition (basically SE with new goodies!). It’s a fun machine to play around with but there are comparability issues with older games…

Repair videos are always so satisfying to watch. It is probably fun to do as well, especially when it doesn't require any microsoldering. Haha! I recently got a Pentium 4 PC with Windows 98 Third Edition (basically SE with new goodies!). It's a fun machine to play around with but there are comparability issues with older games... Sounds like a nice system! The last version of Windows I used that still had decent compatibility for all of my old educational programs was Vista (before Service Pack 2). Updates always had a nasty habit of breaking things. I wish there was some way to emulate some of that software on Linux. I miss studying them...

I haven't because I'm afraid of it turning into a mid-life crisis. What are some of the things you've run into?

I haven't because I'm afraid of it turning into a mid-life crisis. What are some of the things you've run into? Well, some DOS and Windows 95 games display funny because the graphics card is too new for them. Games like Road Rash and Destruction Derby 2 don’t like to run on the system. I need to find a way to make those as well as early 2000s games work with this system…

Yeah, that was a big problem in that period of time.
Windows 95 games especially so, there were a number of system APIs that were chucked in the bin for 98 and beyond.
